BluProjects is proud to be the sourcing partner of Flags For Future!

Presented by ISTANBUL’74 and Utöpia, in partnership with Contemporary Istanbul “Flags For Future” invites us to raise our heads to the sky.

With works by leading artists such as Sir David Adjaye, Robert Montgomery, José Parlá, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, André Saraiva, Ali Elmacı, Ahmet Öğüt, Pınar Yoldaş, Jamie Nares, Kezban Arca Batıbeki, Ferhat Özgür, amongst others, #FlagsForFuture will bring together a set of 25 artist flags created from sustainable materials, displayed by the Golden Horn.

As a deconstruction of the concept of the flag, the exhibition quests for a new conception of this new medium, deeming it a canvas for unity and collective thought as well as free artistic expression.

Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, single-use plastics once again found their way into our lives. Aiming to raise awareness of plastic pollution in the marine environment, 25 artists created 25 flags made from upcycled

plastic waste.

With “Flags for Future”, we aim to support the conservation of our waters and shores as we will donate a percentage of the proceeds from the sales to Parley for the Oceans and TURMEPA for a better future ahead.

➡️ Look out for the full participants’ list to be announced from our socials in the coming days.
